THE PROBLEM: the pc says "Diagnosing your pc" and then boots into recovery

THE SOLUTION: grab the "Relault group" USB stick, plug it in, select use external media (row 2 col 1), select USB HDD, boot into win10 installer, select "repair this PC", select startup repair.

THE CAUSE: PC decides to shut down instead of restarting during windows update

In fact the windows update was broken and it broke the os completely
